The "A" Word
by Rosemary Frisino Toohey
August 1-16, 2008
Directed by
Caitlin Bouxsein
Running Time: ? hr,

Again, one of the
great things about the BPF is that we never know what the play's going to
be at the outset. But rest-assured, the Mob usually picks something that's a little
further afield than boy meets girl. We've taken on love-sick elves,
schoolyard bullies, an overweight young woman in search of herself, ghosts,
a lonely bar owner, stalkers, Eve, and a pyromaniac cross-dresser, just to
name a few.
This year, Rosemary
Frisino Toohey and Caitlin Bouxsein tackle the topic of abortion.
Making decisions can be tough, especially when those decisions can change
the course of our entire lives. Faced with pregnancy, both planned and
unexpected, four women in The "A" Word are forced to examine their
lives and make decisions that will stay with them forever.
